The Norwegian newspaper budstikka.no reports that the mayor of Bærum breaks ground with first shovel for the new borough at Fornebu, outside of Oslo.
The 100.000 m2 includes offices and housing, foodstore, niche boutiques, sports arena and parking. 4000 people will live and work in the area, wich will be the largest consentration of petroleum-related workplaces in Norway. A future metro station will connect the area to the subway of Oslo. The project is to be completed in 2016.
