International sustainability award for Kiwi Lerberg

KIWI Lerberg receives Austrian Green Planet Building (AGPB) Technology Award. AGPB is dedicated to the challenges of climate protection in building construction and write in their press release about the award:

“The KIWI Lerberg building in Hokksund, Norway receives the Austrian Green Planet Building Technology Award: It sets impulses in terms of ecological responsibility by greatly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. This is achieved, among other things, with the characteristic roof construction with high load-bearing capacity.”

The AGPB award honours sustainable building and Austrian companies whose technologies significantly support the climate protection and energy efficiency goals of AGPB. Congratulations to Austrian KIELSTEG Bauelemente, who supplied the innovative wooden elements in the roof construction, which made a significant contribution to reducing the building's greenhouse gas emissions, and to client Lerberg utvikling AS.

A-labs «Grønn i svingene» is an example for the future, showing that it’s possible to build large supermarkets using wood instead of metal, which has been the go-to choice up until now.
