An ambitious rehabilitation project

Our urban floor team is working on an ambitious rehabilitation project in Drammen. Now in January the social service office is moving out of their current location, leaving the building for new adventures. The office building is located centrally on Union Brygge and the revamp will make sure this will become a place worth stopping by.

The goal is to achieve about 90% repurposing of the building’s weight, in addition to 20% of reused materials. In total this would make up a CO2e reduction to about 80-90%, compared to similar projects. Both the client, PKHt and A-lab is very keen to achieve great environmental scores in certifications such as BREEAM, and preferably USE excellent.

We cannot wait for the next phase of this project to showcase how rehabilitation using taxonomy-thinking.
